The Geneva Dance Center was founded by Claudine Kamoun and David Allen. Claudine and David are former professional ballet dancers who turned to dance education in 1974. Their dance philosophy and technique is strongly influenced by George Balanchine, with whom they were privileged to work between 1970 and 1974. The Geneva Dance Center has trained many young dancers who are currently professional dancers in major dance companies. The school primarily focuses on classical ballet.
In september 2009, Samantha and Julien Allen Bancillon joined Clandine Allen as teachers and directors of the school.
The Geneva Dance Center consists of two dance studios of 200 and 100m2 respectively. Each studio features a linoleum-covered wood floor designed for classical ballet. The dressing rooms and showers are clean and spacious. A directly-accessible underground parking lot is located directly below the school. A shopping center and restaurant are also on the building’s ground level.
