Pre-professional formation

The pre-professional section, 16 to 20 years old fulfill the interest in young dancers who are interested in high level ballet and contemporary training. A full daily program enables the dancers in this class to perfect their training within the Geneva Dance Center, in order to audition and join a professional company, or prepare themselves to enter a national or international professional school.

The tuition is based on high level ballet training, with which the dancer acquire the possibility to explore any kind of dance form thereafter.

Each day, the students have 3 to 4 classes, including ballet technique, contemporary class, pointe class, pas de deux class, variation class, classical and new classical repertoire, for a minimum of 25 hours of classes per week. Students in this class are selected through an audition process. The students in the pre-professional class of the Geneva Dance Center, are part of the jeuneballet.ch with whom they perform pieces specially created for them, and where they can develop their stage skills and use their artistic sense to express themselves on stage and in front of an audience.
